We got our idea from " I Like That". yea it doesn't sound as nice as him coming to my school and telling my teacher you give her an A lol. I went to an all girls school. A reader claiming to be his cousin sent a letter to the site asking everyone to pray for him. He hasn't been right since the eye incident. They claim he's living on the street & will not allow any of his family or friends to help him. I pray this isn't true but if it is, he's in my prayers.

I don't think fame & fortune is for everyone, it does something to them. Remember, the devil gives gifts too, be cautious of things that look too good to be true... it probably is!; ▶ Reply to This

Los Angeles radio station KKBT-FM's K-Sly, who appeared in the "I Like That" video and is close to Houston's camp, said the singer had been under psychiatric care last year for manic depression. Another source corroborated that claim, adding that Houston had also struggled with PCP.

"I was told he wanted to commit suicide and stabbed his eye out," K-Sly said. "He was telling people he was Jesus and wanted to go home to his Father" (see "Bodyguard: Houston 'Happy,' Closer To God After Gouging Eye").

The singer is now back in Los Angeles.

Upon hearing about Houston, Bushwick Bill of rap group the Geto Boys felt compelled to speak out. In 1991, Bill forced his girlfriend to assist him in a suicide attempt, and she shot him in the eye. "Fame will make you crazy," Bill said in a statement. "Fame isn't for everybody. There are people who have a fear of fame, those who want fame, and those who don't understand fame. January 28, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that R&B singer Houston Summers is in some more trouble. As you may recall, Houston made news a few years ago for gouging out his eye during a violent mental breakdown (see photo below - for the uncensored pic, click here)).

And now according to one of our faithful readers, Houston's homeless and living on the streets of Los Angeles. Here's a Myspace bulletin that was sent to our reader:
Hello Saints, My name is Houstina Summers - sister of Capitol recording artist Houston Summers.

I'm screaming out for prayer on behalf of my Brother who is too wounded to pray for himself. My Brother, who is 24yrs old, has had an album released in 2005 called, "Its Already Writtenâ€. Just a couple of months after that he suffered a nervous break down and gouged out his left eye.

He prayed for healing for himself and I watched as God took heed and began to heal my Brother. However, in late 2007 the storm grew worse.

At the time my Mother and fifteen year old Sister was living with my Brother. My mother was in between Jobs and Houstonâ€™s royalty checks grew slim. Eventually they were evicted.

So, my Step dad took them in only to be rushed to the hospital a couple of days later. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer and they two were evicted.

It was too much for my Brother and now he is sleeping on the streets of Los Angeles. He has turned to drinking and smoking as his comfort. I believe that God has a plan for him and will bring all of us out into victory.

Yesterday my Mom and I scanned the inner streets of Los Angeles to find a broken Houston leaping down the rainy streets. We found him cold, hungry and dirty. He didnâ€™t want to come with us because he is afraid we are going to admit to a mental to hospital.

He ran away from us and has been missing for two day. Please Pray, PLEASE!! Houston is a very special person and we canâ€™t give up on him.
