It doesn't matter what race your mothers is or what race your father is.....we are all beautiful!

1.) First of all let me state that the purpose of BBRMRB is simple, to celebrate your multiracial heritage. I try to provide information that multiracial people will find relevant and interesting. It is not meant to be divisive also I realize that most all Blacks in America have some mixed ancestry. But there is clearly a difference between someone who has parents of two different races and someone whose great great grandmother was White but everyone else in their family is Black. This does not mean that there are not people who are multigenerational mixed but in order to narrow the focus of this site (due to limited time and resources) many of them are not included. This should not be seen as a dismissal of those who are multigenerational mixed, or that they are any better or worse than other mixed people.

My mother is English,Spanish even some German. (but mainly English) and my father was Japanese and some English. So needless to say I am a bit of everything put into one. My features because most of me is mixed is mainly English as my mom was mostly and my dad was some English but I do have some slant to my eyes and a paler skin tone then the average American that comes from my Japanese side.

My mom is Black and my Dad is Puerto Rican.. It was hard for me to deal with my hispanic side when I was younger since that side of my family didnt like that my father was with a "black" woman so I was treated like crap since I was darker than they wanted. They treated my sister like a princess since she had the features that they liked... Now that I am older I am happy with what I am and learn that they don't define how hispanic I am...

I really have it hard sometimes. My biological father is a mixed Black Samoan, and my German Mother a red headed gypsy ( and they damn near got everything in that family). The races in themselves arent the problem, but due to the fact that my stepfather is black man, we were basically raised in the African American way. Our black history however was something only my mother deemed necessary to teach us( my sister, looks more black than i do btw). I live here in germany, a country full of biracial children from usa and africa. Yet the fact that my features show almost no african american traits( except my hair, and only when it is longer) has made it difficult sometimes to not come off as a wannabe to some. But that it matters in the long run. I love ME and all who i meet, regardless of race. its just sometimes, when the going gets good, there are too many trollops just forcing u into a category that you actually have no business being in. To all who share that dilemma, my heart, my soul, my understanding goes out to ya. As long as they not payin ya rent, then to hell with em all!!! Love, Romario

I'm like Ms Dlishizly below. My Mom is Black and Indian, my Dad is from Cuba. It was hard interacting with his family growing up because they are SOOO much lighter than my siblings and I. It used to ges on my nerves when lighter-skinned latinos talked shit because they didn't know I'm latina as well, and I wound up having to get on that ass. But I'm more mature now, and I politely tell them 2 watch their shit because they never know who is listening.
