General
If you don't want the truth, don't ask ME the question. Every day of life should include creation, even if it is just the creation of a new idea to ponder.

Television
Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, OVTV, Tru TV, The History Channel, PBS, Create, DIY, Food Network, Logo. House, Fringe, Lost, Jeff Dunham show, Lopez Tonight, Wendy Williams, Unsung, College Football (Rollllllllll Tiiiiiiidddeeee!!!!)
Books
Anything by Stephen King, Alice Walker, Dr. Maya Angelou, "My American Journey" by Colin Powell, "Race Matters" & "Democracy Matters" by Cornel West, Anything by Walter Mosley, J.D. Robb, Johnathan Kellerman, Faye Kellerman, Jesse Kellerman, Dr. Toni Morrison, The Alex Cross and Women's Murder Club Series by James Patterson, "Soul City" By Toure, anything by Terry MacMillian, J.California Cooper, Eric Jerome Dickey, Bebe Moore Campbell, or Tabitha King. Any poetry book is wonderful to read. I also read a lot of craft books and magazines about needle arts, painting, and general crafts.
Heroes
The women who raised me; My go-go dancing, hell-raising grandmother, my middle class bourgeosie mother, and my sexually adventurous aunt. My Daddy is also my hero because he took on the responsibility of a child who was not his and loved her until she could love herself. His mother, my MaDear for bringing mississippi into my southwestern life and adding color when all was grey. Anyone who lives life to the fullest not worrying about what society thinks. My children for putting up with a flake like me and my husband for loving me even through my quirks and faults.
